Booking terms

The deal, in plain English.

These are the terms every Ignite Drones booking runs on. They are written to be read, not to be survived. Anything here that doesn’t fit your job, call me and we’ll sort it out before you book.

Copyright and usage

Copyright in every photo and video file delivered under a booking transfers to the client on delivery. The client may use, publish, sell, license, edit and sublicense those files without restriction and without further payment.

Ignite Drones charges no usage, licensing or renewal fees, and makes no claim on how or where the files are used.

Ignite Drones may display work in its own portfolio or marketing only with the client’s written permission. Say no and the answer is no.

What is delivered

Bookings deliver raw, unedited files exactly as captured. No colour grading, cutting, stabilising, retouching or music is included, and none is implied.

Video is captured in 4K using a D-Log 10-bit profile, which is deliberately flat and ungraded so the client can colour it themselves.

File counts shown on the site are what a typical shoot of that length produces. Weather, light, airspace and the property itself can move them in either direction.

Files are delivered digitally the same day as the flight.

Weather and safety

Flight is cancelled or rescheduled whenever conditions make it unsafe or unlawful — wind, precipitation, smoke, visibility or airspace restrictions included.

Rescheduling for weather is free. The client is never charged for a flight that did not happen.

The decision on whether conditions are safe to fly rests with the pilot.

Property and permission

By booking, the client confirms they have the right to have the named property filmed from the air, or permission from whoever does.

The client is responsible for notifying anyone who needs to know about the flight, including tenants, neighbours and site staff where relevant.

Airspace and certification

Ignite Drones operates under a current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate.

Some locations sit in controlled or restricted airspace and require authorisation before a flight can legally happen. Where that applies, authorisation is requested in advance. If it is denied, the booking is cancelled at no charge.

Scheduling, travel and payment

Booked hours are time on site, which includes setup, battery changes and repositioning. They are not flight time.

Travel within 30 miles of Coeur d'Alene is included. Beyond that a single flat $75 trip fee applies and is shown before the booking is confirmed.

Nothing is charged at the time of booking. Payment is due once the work is delivered, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

A booking is not confirmed until Ignite Drones confirms it back to the client.

Cancellation

Cancel any time before the flight and nothing is owed.

If the pilot arrives on site and the flight cannot proceed for a reason within the client’s control — no access, no permission, nobody to open a gate — the booking may be charged in full.
